Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) Load Break Switch
Our load break switch is developed in response to the demand of domestic electricity market. The design is successful due to our technical strength and absorption of foreign advanced technology. The load break switch for 12-24kV power distribution system is a new generation SF6 three-position load switch device, with performance and technical indicators parallel to that of advanced products at home and abroad.

The three-position switch is a versatile integration of main switch, earthing switch, and disconnector, which are sealed in a strengthened epoxy resin casing filled with 0.045MPa SF6 gas in the interior as quenching and insulating medium. Our load break switch achieves these three functions with a minimum of components, boasting good quality and reliability.

The load break switch is maintenance-free, and under normal conditions, it can be in smooth operation for more than 20 years. Switching operation is performed by an independent manual or electric operating mechanism. If equipped with microcomputer monitoring device, the electric operating mechanism may allow remote measurement, remote sensing and remote control, to provide necessary conditions for distribution automation.

A specially designed pressure relief channel (anti-gas explosion film) is set behind the sealed chamber. When arc fault occurs in the chamber, the high temperature and high pressure gas will be discharged through the relief passage to ensure the safety of personnel and other equipment. Reliable interlock device precludes operators’ misuse. The load break switch can be used together with a current limiting fuse to form a modular unit, which can effectively protect the lower end electrical equipment (such as transformers, etc.).

Applications
The load break switch is suitable for three-phase AC 50Hz, 12kV power system, as the RMU switching device forindustrial and mining enterprises, high-rise buildings, residential quarters, or prefabricatedsubstations and other places. The function is to control load current, or to control off-load transformers and capacitor groups. The unit of load break switch and fuse can be an alternative to circuit breaker, and in this case, the load switch is the load current controller, while the fuse breaks large overload current and short-circuit current.

Main applicable areas: large shopping malls, industrial and mining enterprises, urban residential areas, switching stations, airports, subways, stadiums, hospitals, small secondary substations and other places.
